Anthony underwent an exam Tuesday that revealed a fluid build up in his right knee, thereby causing stiffness, the Bergen Record reports. Coach Mike Woodson said, "From the MRI it just showed he has some fluid build up and that's what's causing the stiffness. Rest will probably be the best thing for him. He's got to make that commitment. If he wants to sit down and rest a game or two we'll do that."
Recommendation: Woodson has also stated that it will be on Anthony if he wants to play Wednesday in Detroit, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that he suits up, even if it's in his best interest. If he is sidelined, Kurt Thomas will earn the start, with Amar'e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert picking up additional minutes.
