Carl Faces Negan and Negan Sees Carl’s Face on ‘The Walking Dead’
This week’s The Walking Dead had Carl sneak into the Savior’s sanctuary in an attempt to kill Negan. While the teenager was able to shoot several of the Saviors, he was unsuccessful in capping off their leader.
Carl was captured and taken prisoner, and Negan showed an odd fascination with the youngster and decided to take him on a grand tour of Negan’s world.
Negan showed Carl the extreme loyalty that his subjects give their leader. He also showed off the wives in his harem. Carl then witnessed what happens when you break one of Negan’s laws as he punished one of his followers for sleeping with one of his wives.
Negan obviously took a liking to the youngster, but there still was the matter of punishing the child for his attempt at Negan’s life. The baseball-bat-wielding bad guy got Carl to take off his bandages and show us a close-up look at his missing eye from a gunshot wound. As further “punishment,” Negan got Carl to serenade him with a song while Negan menacingly swung his bat nearby.
In the end, Negan let Carl off easy, and drove Rick’s son back to Alexandria, but not without one last warning.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9.pm. on AMC.
