Cardinals promote Licht to VP of player personnel

The Cardinals announced Wednesday that the team has signed RB Thomas Clayton and OG-C Rich Ohrnberger and has released WR Stanley Arukwe and waived-injured C Ryan Bartholomew (knee).
Clayton, who originally entered the league as a sixth-round choice of the 49ers in the 2007 draft, appeared in three games with the Browns last season and had eight carries for 12 yards. The 5-10, 222-pound Clayton also played in three games in 2010, one with the Patriots and two with the Browns. He spent his first two seasons on the 49ers' practice squad before spending the 2009 season on injured reserve.
Ohrnberger, who entered the league with the Patriots as a fourth-round selection in the 2009 draft, spent the past three years with the Patriots and appeared in five games. The 6-2, 300-pound Ohrnberger missed the 2011 season after he was placed on injured reserve last September.
