Cardinals release G Snyder

The Arizona Cardinals released guard Adam Snyder on Monday, one year after they signed him to a five-year, $17 million contract that included a $5 million signing bonus.

The Cardinals used two draft picks to acquire offensive linemen over the weekend, including No. 7 overall choice Jonathan Cooper.

Snyder will be classified as a "June 1" cut, which allows the Cardinals to spread the salary-cap hit over two seasons.

Snyder started all 14 games in which he played for Arizona in 2012, but he struggled both in the passing and rushing game for the Cardinals.
