Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell is out of a Bay Area hospital and back home after leaving Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers on a stretcher with a neck injury.
Campbell was carted off with just under five minutes left in the 49ers' 32-20 victory.
"He left the field with movement and the feeling was coming back," Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said after the game. "He had extreme numbness."
Campbell was able to give a thumbs up as he left the field.
The Cardinals announced Monday morning that Campbell had left the hospital and had returned to Arizona.
Campbell, 27, has three sacks and a forced fumble this season.
