Defenseman Dmitry Orlov was recalled by the Washington Capitals, and the 2009 second-round pick is expected to practice before the team's game at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.
Orlov had three goals and 19 points in 60 games with the Capitals last season, but suffered an upper-body injury while playing for Hershey of the American Hockey League during the lockout. He returned after missing more than two months of action to record a goal and 12 points in 22 AHL games for Hershey this season.
