AP - Sports

NEW YORK (AP) -- Cape Cod Carol rallied to beat Sister City by 3 3/4 lengths Thursday in the $62,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for trainer Jim Ryerson as the 5-year-old got her fourth win in 25 starts. The time was 1:05.08 for the 5 1/2 furlongs on the fast track.

Cape Cod Carol paid $8.50, $4.10 and $2.50. Sister City returned $4.20 and $2.60, and Kara's Match Point paid $2.50 to show.

Aqueduct canceled the Friday card because of an anticipated winter storm in the New York area. Racing is slated to resume on Saturday.
