C.J. Spiller struggles on ground, catches TD in Week 1 win
Bills running back C.J. Spiller rushed for just 53 yards on 15 carries Sunday but added three receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown in his team's 23-20 overtime win over the Bears in Week 1.
Spiller received a majority of the team's RB carries but finished third in rushing behind Fred Jackson and Anthony Dixon. He did manage to gain 14 of his yards in overtime during the team's game-winning drive. The touchdown came on a misdirection play by the Bills, leaving the running back with an easy catch before waltzing into the end zone on the right side.
Spiller doesn't figure to get many goal-line looks in the Buffalo offense, so any scoring he can do on receptions will help boost his overall value. He's set to face the Dolphins at home in Week 2 after Miami suffered a rash of injuries at the linebacker position Sunday.
