Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:

Burnley back for 2nd crack at Premier League

BURNLEY, England (AP) -- With Chelsea and Manchester United the first two visitors to Turf Moor, Burnley is sure to get a tough reintroduction to life in the Premier League after its surprise promotion last season.

Little is expected of Burnley, which lasted just one year the last and only time it was in the Premier League - in 2009-10 - and has a squad of mostly unheralded players.

But Sean Dyche is one of the most promising, tactically astute managers in England and his tightly knit team has proved hard to beat, especially at home.

Dyche has pledged to stay loyal to the players that got Burnley promoted - ''we obviously haven't got the big super-club backer,'' he says, ''so we can't take on the biggest clubs financially'' - so the offseason has been all about adding depth to the squad rather than causing too much upheaval.

Strikers Danny Ings and Sam Vokes, prolific last season, will be crucial to the northwest team's chances of staying up.
