HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Murphy Burnatowski scored a career-high 35 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer with 17 seconds left in overtime, as Colgate defeated Patriot League-foe Army 93-90 Wednesday night.
Colgate (7-13, 1-3) trailed 88-83 in overtime, but charged back with seven straight points, capped by Brandon James' 3-pointer with 1:50 left. Ella Ellis responded with two free throws for Army, setting up Burnatowski's tie-breaking 3-pointer to cap the scoring.
Ellis and Kyle Wilson each missed 3-pointers for the Black Knights (8-11, 1-3) in the waning seconds.
Ellis netted just five points on 1-of-10 shooting, but moved into ninth place on Army's all-time scoring list with 1,357 points.
Wilson led Army with 23 points.
Dylan Cox put Army ahead 81-75 with 51 seconds left in regulation, but Colgate's Mitch Rolls hit 3-pointers with 25 and 9 seconds left to tie the game and force overtime.
Rolls and James each finished with 15 points.
