Bulls' Rose participates in 5-on-5 drills

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose practiced 5-on-5 for the first time this season on Monday afternoon, ESPNChicago.com reported.

The team provided few details about what that means for Rose's possible return to action, but it represented another stage in Rose's rehabilitation from the torn ACL he suffered last year.

"He did what everyone else did," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said of Rose's participation on Monday, according to the report. "Just a normal practice."

Joakim Noah would only say Rose did "just a little bit. Not too much."

Rose said last week he couldn't dunk in stride yet, and Noah said Rose didn't dunk in Monday's practice.

Rose recently told USA Today he would not return until he's "110 percent," and he also told reporters last week that he might miss the entire season if he is not completely healthy.

Rose had been participating in limited practices for a while, but this was the first time he went through a 5-on-5 workout.
