Chicago Bulls guard-forward Jimmy Butler has turf toe and is listed by the team as week to week.
Butler was injured during Monday night's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. He will not be with the Bulls for a six-game road trip that extends through late November.
An MRI confirmed the injury on his right foot.
The 24-year-old Butler is averaging 11.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals in his first season as a full-time starter.
Last season, Butler made his mark during the playoffs. He averaged 13.3 points and 5.2 rebounds in 12 starts during the postseason.
The Bulls are expected to sign Butler, the 30th overall pick in 2011 NBA Draft out of Marquette, to a contract extension after this season.
