Augustin, a first-round pick of the Bobcats in 2008 who spent four seasons with the team, broke the 20-point mark for the third time in his last four games. He hit six 3-pointers, including three in the fourth quarter when the Bulls pulled away.

The Bulls led 57-55 after three quarters, then opened the fourth quarter with a 10-2 surge to push the lead to 10. They never looked back from there, leading by as many as 12 and never letting the Bobcats closer than two on center Al Jefferson's 3-pointer at the buzzer. Chicago led by eight in the final minute.
