The Bills gave up scoring plays of 69 yards and 42 yards and were handled by the Saints, 35-17, in New Orleans.
Thaddeus Lewis was marred by turnovers, going 22 for 39 with 234 yards passing, one touchdown, one pick and two fumbles. Drew Brees had a better game for the Saints, and wound up 26 for 34 with 332 yards passing, five touchdowns and no interceptions.
Fred Jackson rushed for 45 yards on 15 carries while adding a touchdown. Scott Chandler was a top performer, snagging seven balls for 72 yards.
The Buffalo defense managed to keep the running game in check, but could not slow down the aerial attack, giving up 77 yards rushing and 309 passing. They manhandled Brees with four sacks.
Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills could not be contained, putting up 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns. After Brees, he was the top performer for New Orleans. Tight end Jimmy Graham also performed well with 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Next week, the Bills host the Chiefs (8-0) while the Saints head to East Rutherford to face the Jets (4-3).
