One day after Tampa Bay defensive end Jayme Mitchell
left the team because he was dissatisfied with his role, the Buccaneers released him on Thursday.
The Bucs signed Mitchell to a one-year contract in the offseason after he had started 13 games for the Browns last season.
He left camp on Wednesday without much explanation, but his agent, Lamont Smith, told the Tampa Bay Times that Mitchell, 28, had been spending much of training camp with the third-team defense after being told when he signed that he'd be given a chance to start.
