Super Bowl 50 on Yahoo Sports:

Bucs hoping to get a deal done with Dashon Goldson today

National Football Post

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sent the private jet to California to bring Dashon Goldson in for a visit and they’re hoping to seal the deal today.

The talented safety will visit with the Bucs today and the team has an enormous amount of salary-cap room with some big holes to fill. It’s not a done deal yet as agent Ben Dogra told Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune Goldson must feel comfortable “with the direction of the team” because he wants to win after playing for a team that reached the NFC Championship Game the past two seasons.

Whether or not that’s code to simply get Goldson more money, who knows? The 28-year-old Goldson plays the pass and run well and would give the Buccaneers a talented pair on the back end of their defense with Mark Barron, the first-round draft pick from 2012. It also might signal the end for Ronde Barber, who played safety last season after manning a cornerback position for 15 years.

Rumors have Tampa possibly in play for New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis via trade. That would really give the Bucs a new-look defensive backfield.
