Bucs will be blacked out once again on Sunday

National Football Post

Greg Schiano’s new brand of football in Tampa Bay has not inspired the ticket-buying public.

Not yet anyway. The Buccaneers’ game Sunday with the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium will be blacked out locally on television, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. It’s not surprising that the Chiefs did are not a big draw for the Bucs, who have now had 22 of their last 23 home games blacked out.

It’s a shame for the Bucs, who made several steps during the offseason to encourage fans to get on board. Tampa has always drawn well because fans of road teams like to make the trip to Florida and it is a nice stadium. It’s just continuing proof that the Bucs are not going to draw well until they consistently have a winning product on the field.
