The Buccaneers signed free-agent DEs Wallace Gilberry and Jayme Mitchell, the team announced Monday.

In four seasons with the Chiefs, Gilberry had 14 sacks, four passes defensed and four forced fumbles. He has not missed a game since 2008, though he has only three career starts. Gilberry recorded seven sacks in ’10.

Mitchell comes to Tampa Bay from the Browns, where he played in 14 games with 13 starts last season, recording 34 tackles, 1½ sacks and two passes defensed. He began his career with the Vikings in 2006 and played Minnesota until 2010. He has never played a full 16-game season.

The Bucs released DE Hilee Taylor and DT Myles Wade. Taylor has not played since ’09, when he appeared in six games for Carolina. Wade is an undrafted rookie.
