Bucks lose Udoh for 4-6 weeks

Milwaukee Bucks reserve center Ekpe Udoh will miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee, the team announced Friday.

Udoh, 26, had experienced pain in the knee that kept him on the bench for all of the Bucks' preseason games so far.

A No. 6 overall overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2010 NBA draft, Udoh averaged 4.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in his first full season with the Bucks in 2012-13. He came to Milwaukee with Monta Ellis from the Golden State Warriors at the trade deadline in 2012.

Udoh is not expected to play major minutes this season in a crowded frontcourt that includes Larry Sanders, Ersan Ilyasova, John Henson and Zaza Pachulia.
