The SportsXchange

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday announced that they have re-signed unrestricted free agents, left safety Andrew Economos and linebacker Jacob Cutrera.

Economos, who has logged 92 games with the Bucs, is a specialist on special teams and has recorded 20 tackles and one forced fumble as a part of that unit. Economos is also a long-snapper for kicker Connor Barth, who kicked a team record 25 consecutive field goals that stretched from 2011 into the 2012 season.

Also in 2012, Economos continued to snap for Barth, who led the NFL in made field goals of 40-plus yards. He is a seven-year NFL veteran who began his career as a free agent signee of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2006.

Cutrera played in 24 games during three NFL seasons, including 16 appearances with the Buccaneers from 2011-12. He also has 11 special teams tackles and two forced fumbles. He came to the NFL as a college free agent, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010.
