Boston defenseman Andrew Ference will miss Game 6 of the Eastern Conference playoff series on Sunday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs with an unspecified ailment, Bruins coach Claude Julien announced.
Ference did not travel with the team to Toronto and is listed as day to day. The Bruins hold a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
The 34-year-old Ference already has one absence in the first-round series after he was suspended for a hit on Mikhail Grabovski and forced to sit out Game 2, which the Bruins lost.
In 48 regular-season games, Ference had four goals and nine assists.
