Browns sign WR Tyms off Dolphins' practice squad

The Cleveland Browns signed wide receiver Brian Tyms off the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins, the Browns announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 204-pound Tyms entered the NFL in 2012 when he signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted rookie from Florida A&M University. Tyms spent all of last season and the first seven weeks this season on the Dolphins' practice squad.

To make room, the Browns waived wide receiver Tori Gurley. The Browns had promoted Gurley from their practice squad to the active roster Friday.
