Cleveland Browns wide receiver Greg Little offered his defense for ripping the helmet off the head of Baltimore Ravens safety James Ihedigbo and throwing it during Sunday's AFC North matchup.
Little said Wednesday that Ihedigbo was choking him at the bottom of the pile in the first quarter of the Browns' 24-18 win.
"I know the ref was saying 'let go of his face mask,' but he was choking me, so I'm not (going to let go)," Little said, according to The Plain Dealer. "There's a thin line between football and just morals and if you're a man, you're not going to let a guy spit in your face, and you're not going to let a guy choke you.
"You're not going to let a guy have (his) way with your kids or your family or your wife. It's just how it is."
Little said the NFL has not fined him yet and that he feels no remorse for what he did. He was penalized 15 yards on the play.
"Ask Phil (Taylor) if Ray Rice spit in his face again, what would he do? Is he going to pat him on the back?" Little said.
Ihedigbo has yet to address the situation.
