Browns' Haden returns from 4-game suspension

The winless Cleveland Browns need all the help they can get, and the return of cornerback Joe Haden may help.

Haden rejoined the team Monday after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on banned substances.

Haden confirmed that he tested positive for Adderall, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and he apologized for being suspended.

"I would like to apologize to my fans, Haden Nation, the Cleveland Browns organization, front office, all the coaches. I hurt a lot of people," Haden said, according to the Plain Dealer. " I hurt myself for sure. But I hurt a lot of people with the decision I made, and I just want everybody to know that I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart. There's no script. Nobody told me what to say. I just feel that and I want everybody to know that it was a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, but my mistake happened to hurt a lot more people than I thought."

Haden also got engaged to be married during his suspension.

Haden has played in only one game this season, but he effectively covered the Eagles' DeSean Jackson in that game and had an interception.

Haden started all 15 games in which he played in 2011.
