Defender Anthony Brooks, forward Aron Johannsson and midfielder Brek Shea were inserted into the starting lineup for the United States' exhibition game at Austria on Tuesday night as American coach Jurgen Klinsmann made three changes from the group that began last week's 0-0 draw at Scotland.
Right back Brad Evans, midfielder Sacha Kljestan and forward Eddie Johnson came out of the starting lineup for the U.S., which is preparing for the World Cup in June.
Tim Howard remained in goal, with Geoff Cameron shifting from central defense to right back, the position he plays for Stoke. Omar Gonzalez was at center back, with DaMarcus Beasley on the left.
Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones and Alejandro Bedoya also were in the midfield of a 4-5-1 formation, and Jozy Altidore was at forward.
