The Broncos announced Thursday the re-signing of DE Jason Hunter.

Hunter spent the past two seasons with Denver, playing in all 32 regular-season games. In 2011, he had 21 tackles, one sack, one pass defensed and a forced fumble.

In his six-year career, Hunter has 11 sacks. He began his career with the Packers in 2006. Hunter is primarily Elvis Dumervil’s backup, and posted career-high numbers filling in for him in 2010.
