Broncos hire Knapp as QBs coach

The Denver Post reports that Broncos RB Mario Fannin tore his Achilles tendon during Saturday's team scrimmage at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

This is the second year in a row that Fannin, a second-year player out of Auburn, suffered a season-ending injury in training camp. He sustained a torn ACL on Aug. 5, 2011.

He signed with the Broncos last year as an undrafted free agent.
