Broncos place Walton on PUP, Carter on IR

The Denver Broncos placed center J.D. Walton on the physically unable to perform list and safety Quinton Carter on season-ending injured reserve.

Walton, who continues to recover from ankle surgery, will be elibile to return to practice after Week 6. Once he does so, the team will have a 21-day window to either activate Walton or placed him on injured reserve.

Carter missed the final 13 games last season and underwent microfracture knee surgery.
