Broncos' Miller cited in traffic stop

Suspended Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller continues to run into trouble off the field.

The latest incident involves a citation for driving without a license and speeding near his home last week, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said Tuesday night.

Robinson said Miller was not arrested after the traffic stop. His father, who was in the vehicle with him, was allowed to drive Miller home.

Miller, 24, is currently serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

"Obviously we're not happy about it," Broncos coach John Fox said Wednesday about Miller's citation. "Everybody here has an individual responsibility, not only to themselves, but to this organization, to this football team, so it's something we're not pleased about. We'll leave it at that."

The NFL is aware of Miller's latest incident, but Miller's suspension won't be increased, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported.

In August, the All-Pro was arrested when he attempted to buy a firearm and a background check indicated that he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on charges from the previous October for careless driving and operating a vehicle without a license or proof of insurance.

The 2011 NFL defensive rookie of the year has 30 sacks in his first two seasons, including a franchise-record 18 1/2 last season.
