The Broncos released veteran LS Lonie Paxton and waived 11 other players to get down to the 75-man roster limit Monday.
Paxton, a 13-year NFL veteran, had played all 16 games each of the past three seasons with Denver. Prior to that, he had served as New England's long-snapper for nine seasons, and played on three Super Bowl champions. He apparently was beaten out by rookie LS Aaron Brewer, who was signed by Denver as an undrafted free agent on April 28.
The players the Broncos waived include: LB Elliot Coffey, WR Mark Dell, WR Cameron Kenney,TE Anthony Miller, DE Cyril Obiozor, RB Xavier Omon, S Anthony Perkins, OT Mike Remmers, CB Ramzee Robinson, FB Austin Sylvester and OG Austin Wuebbels.
Earlier Monday, the team had placed DE Jason Hunter (triceps) on injured reserve.
