Broncos hire Knapp as QBs coach

The Broncos released/waived 19 players and designated three others to reserve lists on Friday to complete their roster reduction to the regular-season limit of 53.

Of the players who were cut, the most notable is veteran CB Drayton Florence, whom the team had signed as a free agent this past offseason. Other veterans who were released included OT Ryan Harris, WR Jason Hill and OG Tony Hills.

The players were waived were DE Jamie Blatnick, FS Rafael Bush, LB Jerry Franklin, DT Ben Garland, OG Adam Grant, SS Duke Ihenacho, TE Cornelius Ingram, RB Jeremiah Johnson, MLB Mike Mohamed, WR Greg Orton, WR Gerell Robinson, NT Sealver Siliga, CB Syd’Quan Thompson, OG Wayne Tribue and QB Adam Weber.

In addition, first-year DE Jeremy Beal was placed on injured reserve and TE Virgil Green and LB D.J. Williams were added to the reserve/suspended list and will not count against the active roster.
