Knowshon Moreno had a big day, paving the way to a win for the Broncos against the Chargers, 24-17 at home. With the victory, Denver advances to the AFC Championship.
Peyton Manning found the end zone for two scores against the Chargers on 25 of 36 passing for 230 yards and one pick. On the Chargers side, Philip Rivers went 18 for 27 with 217 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Moreno ran for 82 yards on 23 carries with a touchdown while adding one reception for 12 yards. Demaryius Thomas caught eight passes for 54 yards with a touchdown.
The Denver defense was the deciding factor in the victory, allowing 65 yards rushing and 217 passing. They harassed Rivers and the Chargers offensive line with an imposing four sacks.
Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen provided some spark with 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
