Broncos agree to terms with OG Vasquez

The SportsXchange

The Denver Broncos agreed to terms with free agent offensive guard Louis Vasquez on a four-year deal worth between $23 million and $25 million.

Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway announced the sides reached the agreement with the former San Diego Chargers' starter.

"He is a big, powerful player who adds a physical present to our OL," Elway wrote via Twitter.

Hel'll replace Chris Kuper at right guard, giving the Broncos a pair of 330-pound road-grading blockers on the right side of the offensive line along with 6-foot-5 right tackle Orlando Franklin.

Vasquez started all 54 regular-season games played in his first four NFL seasons. He has been credited with only 11 sacks allowed and one penalty during his career while playing for an offense that ranked fourth in the league in points per game (25.8) during that span.

The Chargers drafted Vasquez in the third round (78th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech.
