Britt calls one-game ban 'a gift from God'

National Football Post

Kenny Britt called his one-game suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell "a gift from God" Thursday night following the Tennessee Titans preseason game.

Britt said he is glad the matter is finally resolved. Many were expecting a longer suspension for a player who has had eight run-ins with police since the Titans drafted him in 2009.

“Actually, it's a gift from God that it's only one week. I'm just happy that God spoke to him (Goodell) and put the right thing in his heart and I'll move forward. It's definitely a relief,” Britt said.

Titans general manager Ruston Webster seemed relieved as well, telling, "“One game is one game too many, and Kenny knows that, but it's nice to have it behind us.”
