Tim Brown:

Brewers' Weeks day to day after getting hit on hand

The SportsXchange

X-rays taken on Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks' left hand were negative, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Weeks was hit on the hand in the bottom of the 13th inning of Friday's game by Chicago Cubs pitcher Lendy Castillo. Weeks stayed in the game and scored the winning run on Corey Hart's single.

Weeks is not in Saturday's lineup. Edwin Maysonet is listed as the starter at second base.

The newspaper reported that Weeks' status is considered day to day.
