Brennan Boesch: Joins Yankees

Rotowire.com
Update: Boesch agreed to a deal with the Yankees on Friday, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports.

Recommendation: A decline in BABIP (from .315 in 2011 to .284 in 2012) led to a mostly disappointing season last year for Boesch, but he was still able to put up 12 homers and 54 RBI. The Yankees were hoping to find a substitute for Curtis Granderson (forearm) within the organization, but it now looks like Boesch will inherit the starting left field job until Granderson returns.
