Brandon Phillips shows sign of life with two-RBI game

Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips contributed to a 7-2 win over the Cubs Thursday, by driving in two runs.

Phillips had just one hit, but that was enough as he clubbed a two-run double in the fourth inning. He finished the game 1 for 4 before he was lifted for a pinch-hitter late.

Phillips has struggled since returning from the disabled list in mid-August, hitting just .205 with four RBI and no home runs in 10 games.
