PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- Walt Lennon Jr. scored a game-high 19 points, dished out six assists and had three steals as Bradley put away Alabama State 85-59 Sunday night.
The Braves (2-0) converted 32 of their 54 field goal attempts, finishing with a percentage of 59.3 percent. They jumped out to an early 14-4 lead and led by as many as 20 in the first half.
Alabama State crawled back to within seven early in the second half, but Bradley throttled ahead to a 69-43 lead with 7:14 remaining.
Bradley had two other players in double figures as Omari Grier added 14 points with four 3-pointers. Auston Barnes finished with 12 points and hauled in seven rebounds.
Jamel Waters led the Hornets with 14 points and distributed a game-high seven assists. Luther Page had 10 points, seven boards and three steals
