Bradley Beal, Trevor Ariza carry Wizards over Pacers

The Washington Wizards slipped by the Indiana Pacers, 102-96. The Conference Semifinals now stand at 1-0.

Bradley Beal had another quality performance, putting up 25 points on 8-18 shooting from the field (3-5 from behind the arc) and 6-9 from the free throw line. He registered seven assists and five steals also. Other key performers for Washington were Trevor Ariza with 22 points and six rebounds, Nene Hilario with 15 points and six rebounds, and John Wall with 13 points and nine assists. Despite the loss, George Hill put up 18 points for Indiana on 6-11 shooting (3-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 3-5 from the free throw line. David West chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds and Lance Stephenson finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

Washington controlled the glass in Game 1, collecting 36.2% of offensive rebounds and 85.7% of defensive boards.

Playing in front of the home crowd, Indiana wasn't able to take advantage and get the victory. Washington will attempt to continue its road success and grow its lead over Indiana in the Conference Semifinals.
