Bradley Beal scores 22, Wizards defeat Jazz

The Utah Jazz turned it over on 17 possessions and only totaled 13 assists in a disappointing performance in which they were beaten by the Washington Wizards, 93-84. Washington (17-6) has now won four straight games.

Bradley Beal scored 22 points on 9-17 shooting, including 2-5 on 3-point attempts. Other key players for Washington included John Wall with 16 points and eight assists, and Nene Hilario with 10 points and six rebounds. Despite the loss, Alec Burks put up 19 points for Utah on 5-11 shooting (3-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-8 from the free throw line. Enes Kanter contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

In addition to 29.4% from 3-point range, the Jazz tallied an eFG% of just 41.7%. They are winless (0-2) on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Wizards, conversely, are undefeated (4-0) when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.

Utah (6-18) has now dropped consecutive games after losing to Miami on Friday.

Coming up, the Wizards take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are 5-18 on the season. The Jazz match up against the New Orleans Pelicans, currently sitting at 11-12 this year. The Jazz have a 0-1 record against New Orleans this season.
