Beal finished 9-20 (6-7 from three-point range) in what was an efficient performance. Other top contributors for Washington included Nene Hilario with 24 points and 8 rebounds, Martell Webster with 15 points and 5 assists, and John Wall with 15 points and 9 assists. Kyrie Irving had another strong performance for Cleveland despite the loss, scoring 28 points on 9-14 shooting (3-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 7-7 from the free throw line. Jarrett Jack contributed 14 points and 6 assists and Anderson Varejao finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
This drops Cleveland (4-8) to 1-1 against Washington on the year.
