NEW YORK (AP) -- Boisterous, the 1-5 favorite, scored a repeat win in the $200,000 Red Smith Handicap on Saturday, beating Lake Drop by 3½ lengths on the turf at Aqueduct.
Edgar Prado was aboard for trainer Shug McGaughey as the 5-year-old earned his ninth victory in 21 starts. The time was 2:19.38 for the 1 3-8 miles.
Boisterous paid $2.70, $2.20 and $2.10. Lake Drop returned $3.50 and $2.50, and Philly Ace paid $3 to show.
