Bobcats 119, Wizards 114

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gerald Henderson had 27 points and eight assists, and the Charlotte Bobcats rallied in the final three minutes for a 119-114 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

The Bobcats trailed 111-106 going into the final three minutes, but went on a 12-0 run at that point and never let the Wizards closer than four points again. Henderson and Ben Gordon each had 3-pointers in the 12-0 run, and Kemba Walker had the other six points, all on drives.

The Bobcats, who had lost two straight and 12 of their previous 13, raised their record to 15-52 and beat the Wizards for the third time this season. Washington had a three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 23-43.

Gordon finished with 19 points, Walker scored 18, Josh McRoberts scored 17, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jannero Pargo scored 11 each as the Bobcats shot 53.2 percent from the field.

John Wall led Washington with 25 points before fouling out. The Wizards also got 21 points from Nene, 17 each from Emeka Okafor and Garrett Temple, and 12 from Martell Webster.

The Bobcats led by as many as nine in the first half and led 63-59 at halftime. They pushed the lead to 94-89 after three quarters. Washington opened the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run to retake the lead, and held small leads until the final minutes.

Notes: This was the fourth and final meeting of the season between the teams. Charlotte won the first two contests back in November, and the Wizards won the most recent game, 104-87 in Washington on March 9. ... The Wizards were without A.J. Price (groin) and Leandro Barbosa (knee), while the Bobcats were without Ramon Sessions (knee) and DeSagana Diop (knee). ... The Wizards had beaten Milwaukee, New Orleans and Phoenix, all at home, during their winning streak. Webster scored a career-high 34 in a 127-105 win over the Suns on Saturday. ... Wall was named the NBA Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the first Wizards player to receive the honor in the past five years. In four games last week, Wall averaged 24 points, 11 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals. He became the first NBA player in the 3-point era (since 1979) to average at least 24 points, 11 assists, five rebounds, two steals, shoot at least 60 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line in any four-game span. ... Jannero Pargo, signed by the Bobcats on March 14, played seven games with the Wizards earlier this season before being waived. ... The Bobcats were coming off a 105-88 loss at Boston on Saturday when Pargo led the way with 18 points in 21 minutes. ... Monday's game started a three-game home stand for the Bobcats. They'll host Toronto on Wednesday and Detroit on Saturday. ... Monday's game started a four-game road trip for the Wizards. They'll play at Phoenix on Wednesday and will face the Lakers and Golden State later on the trip.
