CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Center Al Jefferson scored a season-high 35 points and guard Kemba Walker scored 25 as the Charlotte Bobcats snapped a three-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 108-98 victory over the previously surging New York Knicks.

Jefferson scored 19 of his points in the first half, when the Bobcats pulled out to a 55-46 halftime lead. Charlotte went on to lead by as many as 17 in the second half and never let the Knicks get closer than four briefly in the third quarter.

The Knicks had a five-game winning streak snapped, as they showed the effects of fatigue after a 98-96 overtime win over Phoenix on Monday night in New York. They fell to 15-23.

The Bobcats, who had lost eight of their previous nine, are now 16-23.

Jefferson's previous season high was 27 against Sacramento 10 days ago. He was 14-of-20 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line. His career high is 40.

The Bobcats also got 17 points from guard Gerald Henderson.

Forward Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 20 points but was just 9-of-22 from the field. The Knicks also got 17 points from forward Amar'e Stoudemire, 13 from guard Raymond Felton, and 11 from guard Tim Hardaway Jr.

The Bobcats led 27-24 after one quarter, then took control by outscoring the Knicks 13-3 over the last three minutes of the half.

New York was still within striking distance trailing 85-79 early in the fourth, but Walker hit 3-pointers on Charlotte's next two possessions to push the lead back to 11. Charlotte went on to increase the lead to as many as 15 in the closing minutes.
