Toronto Blue Jays left-handed pitcher Juan Perez was placed on the 60-day disabled list Saturday with a torn ligament in his pitching elbow.
The club recalled right-hander Mickey Storey from Class AAA Buffalo.
Perez left in the seventh inning of Friday's 14-6 loss to the Oakland A's. He threw 56 pitches in 1 2/3 innings of relief. He allowed five runs -- all earned -- four hits, two walks and struck out three.
Perez is 1-2 with a 3.69 ERA in 19 relief appearances this year.
The 34-year-old has also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers.
Storey, in his second stint with Toronto, is 0-0 with a 7.36 ERA in two May appearances.
Also, the Blue Jays activated right-hander Drew Hutchison (elbow) from his rehab assignment and optioned him to Buffalo.
