Blue Jackets place F Comeau on IR

The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Blake Comeau on injured reserve with a sprained knee.

Comeau was injured during practice on Thursday. He is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Comeau leads the Blue Jackets with 131 hits. He has three goals and eight assists with 21 penalty minutes in 43 games this season.

The 27-year-old was acquired by the Blue Jackets in an April 2013 trade with the Calgary Flames. Comeau has 70 goals and 89 assists in 404 NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Flames and New York Islanders.
