COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Center Artem Anisimov scored the winning goal for the third straight game, saving the Columbus Blue Jackets from collapse on Tuesday night in a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars before 15,661 in Nationwide Arena.

Anisimov scored the second of his two goals with 4:07 remaining in regulation, giving the Blue Jackets a 4-2 lead after they nearly blown an early 3-0 advantage.

Right winger Boone Jenner and left winger R.J. Umberger also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won three straight games to move into playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky had 29 saves, 24 of them in the final two periods.

The Stars fell behind 3-0 in the first period but rallied in the third on goals from defenseman Alex Goligoski and defenseman Trevor Daley.

Stars goaltender Dan Ellis allowed three goals on the first nine shots and finished 16 saves.

The Blue Jackets could not have asked for a better start.

Jenner took a feed from center Ryan Johansen as he came into the zone, then loosed a slap shot that beat Ellis into the far corner of the net to make it 1-0.

The lead grew to 2-0 at 11:29 of the period when Umberger took a passs from center Brandon Dubinsky and found open space in the slot in front of Ellis. He scored with ease through Ellis' stick-side.

Only 3 1/2 minutes later, it was 3-0, this time on a power play goal.

When Dallas center Cody Eakin failed to gather a loose puck in front of Ellis, Anisimov pounced on it and scored off his backhand into a wide-open net. It was Anisimov's fourth straight game with a goal.

The Stars awakened in the second period, outshooting the Blue Jackets 12-1 and spending long stretches in the Columbus zone.

The Blue Jackets got their first -- and only -- shot on goal in the second period from center Nathan Horton with 2:08 remaining in the period.

Still, the Jackets led 3-0 after two periods.

It did not last long.

Only 1:39 into the third, with the Stars on the power play, Goligoski jumped on a long rebound off a shot by right winger Ray Whitney and buried it before Bobrovsky could cover the near post.

Then, just 1:43 later, a shot by Dallas defenseman Sergei Gonchar caromed off the right skate of Daley and trickled inside the stick-side post to Bobrovsky's right to make it 3-2.

The Blue Jackets' play seemed to steady after Daley's goal, but the Jackets did not have any breathing room until Anisimov's second goal of the game with 4:07 to play.

He carried the puck from behind the net, went around a group of skaters in front of Ellis and scored off his backhand.

Anisimov scored the winning goal in Monday night's 2-1 victory in Toronto. He also had the winning short-handed goal in a 6-3 victory over the Florida Panthers on Saturday.
