Winnipeg Blue Bombers' defensive giant Bryant Turner has been named a CFL's player of the week.
Turner was a force to be reckoned with as he tallied two defensive tackles and three of the team’s seven sacks on Montreal Alouettes' QB Anthony Calvillo in last week's game, which the Bombers won 19-11.
His third sack proved to be the most important as not only did he take down Calvillo, but he also forced the quarterback to fumble the ball, which the Bombers recovered.
That led to a Bomber field goal with only a few seconds remaining.
This is the first player of the week award for Turner, who is in his third year in the CFL and was named a CFL All-Star last season.
