‘Blindspot’ Season 2 Final Episodes To Serve As Big Finale

Blindspot” Season 2 is gearing up for a huge finale episode in the coming weeks!

While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Martin Gero said that the final four episodes for the hit NBC TV series will serve as one big finale. The four upcoming installments will not only shed light on Sandstorm, but they will also feature some major reveals. The biggest questions to have ever been posed on the show will also finally be addressed.

Additionally, the upcoming installments are also Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton)-centric. In Season 2, the two characters went their separate ways after Kurt discovered in Season 1 that Jane has been lying to him. Throughout the past couple of episodes in the current season, Jane and Kurt went through a healing process separately. At one point, Jane was linked to another male character, while Kurt dated his boss, Nas (Archie Panjabi). “They had to go through a healing period, but they’re back to really trusting each other. We really focus on their relationship in a huge way, and it gets to a very positive place,” Gero said.

Meanwhile, the finale episode for “Blindspot” Season 2 will air on May 17. But until today, Season 3 has not yet been renewed by the network. Gero finally hinted on the possibility of “Blindspot” being canceled and said that he believes the final episode could serve as a satisfying ending for the show. “If this is our last season, I think everyone will be very satisfied. But if not, there’s a pretty good cliffhanger into the next season. It will be a satisfying ending either way,” he said.

In 2015, “Blindspot” was renewed for a second season just weeks after Season 1 premiered. At the time, the ratings for the series were impressive. However, in Season 2, the ratings for “Blindspot” saw a steady decline. According to TV Series Finale, Season 2, episode 18, which aired on April 5, only received a total of 4.3 million viewers and a 0.89 rating.

“Blindspot” Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
