A night after taking on the Memphis Grizzlies without one of their best players, Portland is at Minnesota to face the Timberwolves without a couple of theirs.
Tonight, they're up against a Timberwolves team that will be missing Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. Minnesota announced on Saturday that an MRI revealed Love has re-fractured his right hand, an injury he initially suffered on Oct. 17 that caused him to miss three weeks. He re-injured the hand during Thursday's game at Denver.
In addition, Rubio will miss his fourth consecutive game with back spasms, after the team announced today that he would not play against the Blazers.
The Blazers will be playing the fourth and final game of their current road trip, having gone 2-1 to this point with wins against the New York Knicks and the Grizzlies sandwiched around a whuppin' by the Toronto Raptors. They're already guaranteed a split on the four-game stretch, but if they can get past the shorthanded Timberwolves and improve to 7-11 overall on the road this season, it will have been a hugely successful trip for the young Blazers.
